Albany Medical College Commencement
 
The keynote speaker will be the 2007 Albany Medical Center Prize in Medicine and Biomedical Research recipient, Ronald M. Evans, PhD. Dr. Evans’ pioneering research on nuclear hormone receptors led to the development of many of today’s most commonly used therapies for treating asthma, arthritis, prostate and ovarian cancer, among other diseases. Also addressing the graduates will be Vincent Verdile, MD, dean of the Medical College and executive vice president for health affairs at the Medical Center, and John Robinson, chair of the Albany Medical Center Board of Directors.
 
Honorary degree recipients will be Dr. Evans, John Balint, MD, long-time professor of medicine at Albany Medical Center, and Daniel Sisto, president of the Healthcare Association of New York State.
